Rob Connor: Founder & Managing Partner
I established HumanCapital to provide specialist search and recruitment services to Private Equity platforms and their portfolio companies and to organisations going through change, transformation and rapid growth. Our geographic focus is Europe and North America.
Having worked in PE owned businesses and having led Transformation and Change programs in scale and rapid growth organisations, I was often leading recruitment efforts across seniority levels, functions, industries and geographies. It was a significant challenge to find a single provider that could support across these areas and also that had enough technical and nuanced understanding of the demand to credibly sell the value proposition to scarce candidates on my behalf.
HumanCapital was established to address these challenges and to provide specialist services in those areas where we have the practitioner expertise, combined with deep cultural, behavioural and organisation understanding, to credibly approach, engage, select and close scarce talent on behalf of our clients.
Rob studied computing at Blackrock Senior College in Dublin before graduating from the NIxdorf Centre for Advanced Technology in Software Production Engineering.
He moved into international technology search and selection and spent a decade recruiting executive, managerial and technical talent throughout Europe. This included periods living in the Netherlands and Germany. Rob then moved in-house to support the establishment of Cisco's European talent acquisition function, based out of Brussels. He later focussed on Talent Acquisition Strategy and HR Transformation in senior regional and global leadership roles within the Royal Bank of Scotland, Willis Towers Watson, Cargill, Moody's and Ciber Inc.
Rob returned to search, working with a US based talent solutions business. He led the European practice and also held the role of Global Account Director. His primary focus was private equity owned businesses across tech, financial services, Industrial, real estate and consulting.
He established HumanCapital in 2023 to focus on the needs of private equity platforms, their portfolio companies and organisations going through change and transformation. These are areas within which he has practitioner expertise and where he feels he can add most value.
Rob is married with four children. He is a keen sportsman, with a 3rd degree blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a black belt in Judo. He regularly competes in age banded international competition and was European champion in 2022. He is also a passionate coach and has been coaching children in Jiu Jitsu, judo and wrestling since 2010.
